The Thriving State Assessment is a diagnostic layer within the ThriveOS framework designed to qyickly evaluate the current psychological state of employees across a continuum of ill-health, stability, and thriving.
Rather than focusing only on performance outcomes, this assessment captures how employees experience their work, their well-being, and their capacity to function under organizational conditions. It provides a structured understanding of whether the workforce is currently under strain, operating steadily, or experiencing optimal thriving. The assessment is organized into three integrated state zones that reflect the employee experience spectrum:
Health Alarm (Ill-Health Zone) — identifying early signs of distress, burnout, and strain.
Steady Performance Zone — capturing individuals who maintain performance under pressure or stable conditions
Engaged & Energized Zone — reflecting healthy functioning and full thriving potential
Together, these zones allow organizations to move beyond traditional well-being surveys and instead understand workforce states as dynamic, systemic conditions that directly influence performance, sustainability, and growth.
This section identifies employees who may be experiencing psychological strain or functional depletion. It is divided into two key diagnostic lenses:
→ Ill-Health Detection (Severe Distress Symptoms)
This sub-dimension captures early indicators of psychological distress, including emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and reduced mental stability.
It helps organizations identify:
👉 Represents early-stage psychological strain that may escalate if unaddressed.
→ Injured State (Burnout Symptoms)
This sub-dimension focuses on work-related exhaustion and depletion, where employees may still function but are experiencing significant energy loss and disengagement.
It identifies:
👉 Represents chronic depletion driven by prolonged work exposure.
This section represents employees who are functioning consistently, often under moderate pressure or stable conditions.
→ Reacting (Maintaining Performance Under Pressure)
This sub-dimension captures employees who:
👉 Represents stable execution without developmental progression.
This zone represents optimal workforce functioning where well-being and performance are aligned. It is divided into two key diagnostic lenses:
→ Healthy
This sub-state reflects psychological balance and sustainable functioning. Employees experience stable energy levels and consistent performance without significant strain. Key indicators:
👉 Represents balanced functioning without overstrain or depletion.
→ Thriving
This sub-state reflects the highest level of workforce functioning. Employees experience high energy, motivation, and continuous development in their work. Key indicators:
👉 Represents optimal integration of well-being and performance.
